First female examiner retires

The was 1971 and Lillian Braun was empolyed as a Driving Exainmer in Illinois.

To her it was just a job, a single mum and was looking for a steady job. Not unlike some driving instructors who move onto to becoming examiners. In the surrey driving schools area there are many test centres so the demand is quite high in the area.

Lillian turns 86 this month, having retired from her job on Friday. Asked why she had not retired at 65 she just said "The years go by so fast"

At m & m Driving School Surrey we only teach people to drive, so have no fear we don't have our own Lillian, as you will need to go to the local test centre to take your driving test.
